Absol’s Q&A with Alex:

Delighted to meet you, Alex! Thanks for being our LEGEND of the WEEK!

Can you tell us a little about how you came to be a part of Gnomes & UnGnomes? How did you hear about the Loft and this project?
I first heard about the Loft through my fellow teacher and poet, Andy Hacket. He’s recently taken great strides in his journey as a writer and it encouraged me to be more proactive with my own writing.

Tell us about your anthology poems and how you came to choose Gaia?
I have always loved fall and the colors it brings. My grandmother had a Japanese maple tree that would turn the most beautiful fiery orange-red and every place I have lived has just so happened to have a Japanese maple. It made a natural connection in my mind between color and a dragon’s fire.

Autumn is one of my four favorite seasons! It’s a lovely poem. Thank you for your time!
