Despite growing up in snowy Maine, Alison Cynamon has never spotted a Spectral Moose or an Agropelter.
Today, Alison calls Brooklyn, New York home.
She studied illustration, storytelling, and sequential art with the Art Students League of New York and the School of Visual Arts.
She loves exploring new mediums and experimenting with new techniques.
Alison loves picture books and children’s books; her ambition is to write and illustrate her own.
She once accidentally swallowed a baby tooth so neither the Toothmouse (nor the Tooth Fairy) came to visit, an experience that still haunts her to this day.
When not illustrating, you will find her hiking with her husband and dog, Stevie Nicks.

Yes! It’s actually the Polish word for cinnamon.
