DOVER DEMON (Massachusetts, USA)
Between April 21 and April 22, 1977, in Dover, MA, about 15 miles outside Boston, witnesses reported multiple sightings of a “strange” creature within the same 2-mile radius. The independent teenage witnesses described seeing a creature with glowing eyes, a monkey-like body, spindly arms, and an egg-shaped or figure-eight-shaped head. They were convinced it was not a cat or other known animal. Sketch artist renderings bore this out. Cryptozoologist Loren Coleman, of Maine, spoke to the teens within a week of the sightings and concluded their reports were credible.
