Gnome & UnGnome Facts About Leanne:

Leanne Luetkemeyer started her illustration career in greeting cards at Hallmark Cards, Inc. in Kansas City. From there, she moved to New Mexico and Colorado and worked as a freelance illustrator for children’s books, greeting cards, and printed materials.

Her biggest illustration challenge was illustrating a 318-page book, My Very First Devotional Bible, for Zonderkids.

Leanne is excited to be included in the Writers’ Loft Anthology Gnomes & UnGnomes: Poems of Hidden Creatures.

Leanne is honored to also be included in the Writers’ Loft Friends & Anemones anthology.

Her poem, “Hopalong Cottontail” was inspired by many childhood family trips in an old woody station wagon through New Mexico, Wyoming, and Montana where jackalope sightings are common. As for her mermaid poem, “Ocean Diva,” Leanne was inspired by her colorful and glittery friends and family.

She loves hiking, kayaking, camping, and hanging out with her husband, son, and two mini Australian shepherds.

Leanne is a member of The Writers’ Loft, 12×12, and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. You can see more of Leanne’s illustrations on Instagram @luetkemeyerleanne or visit her website, leanneluetkemeyer.com.
