Lisa Varchol Perron is a children’s author and poet.

Her poems have appeared in various anthologies, journals, and magazines, and she currently has seven books out or on the way, including the photo-illustrated Patterns Everywhere, My Love for You (illustrated by Sheryl Murray), Tell Me About Space, & Tell Me About Oceans (illustrated by Jennifer Falkner).

Lisa’s Polish and Lithuanian heritage informs the poems she wrote for this anthology (and contributes to her love of experimenting with borscht recipes).

In addition to being an author, Lisa works as a psychotherapist with specialized training in child and adolescent development. She holds graduate degrees from New York University and UC Berkeley and now lives outside of Boston, Massachusetts with her husband and children.
