RATATOSKR (Norse Mythology)
In Norse mythology (mythology of Vikings from ancient Scandinavia), Ratatoskr is a squirrel who runs up and down the world tree Yggdrasil to carry messages between the eagles perched atop Yggdrasil, and the serpent Níðhöggr, who dwells beneath one of the three roots of the tree.
When Ratatoskr gets bored, he stirs up trouble by delivering misinformation which causes tension between Níðhöggr and the Eagles. When Níðhöggr gets stressed he gnaws on the roots of the World tree.
