A native New Yorker, Robin Mayer Stein wrote and illustrated her first book at the age of five and has been writing ever since.
She moved to Boston to attend law school and worked in consumer and environmental law, still writing fiction and poetry.
She leads Poetry and Memoir Workshops and offers programs about her children’s book, “My Two Cities: A Story of Immigration and Inspiration,” at schools, libraries, and community centers.
She received a grant in poetry from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and her work has appeared in The Paterson Review, the new renaissance, Home Planet News, Urthona and 50 Give or Take.
She lives in Newtonville, MA with her husband and loves dancing, swimming, and sharing stories with her grandkids–Stella, Maya, and Liam.
