SIRENS: Mermaidesque

SIRENS (Greece)

Sirens can be considered mermaids’ vicious sisters. Maybe cousins.

Usually, they look like beautiful women with fishtails who sing a captivating song and lure human sailors to dangerous, rocky coastlines.

Sometimes they are depicted as having sharp teeth that could tear human skin apart.

In Greek mythology, Sirens have birds’ wings, not fishtails.

In any case, it’s a good idea to avoid sirens!
